NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Govt of Gujarat for Development of 15 GW of RE Parks and Projects in the state. The MoU was signed on 3rd January 2024 by Shri Anand Mahesh Babu, IAS, Managing Director-GPCL on behalf of Govt of Gujarat and Shri Rajiv Gupta, Chief Executive Officer, NTPC REL in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat and other senior officials.

The scope of the MoU also intends for setting up Green Hydrogen Technologies like FCEV Mobility, Hydrogen Blending with Natural Gas, Production of Green Chemicals like ammonia and methanol, Hydrogen based energy storage etc. of 5 GW capacities in the state by NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd.

The above MoU has been signed as part of the Investment Promotion Activity organized by Government of Gujarat under Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024.
